Bartlesville Students Qualify to take Chemistry Olympiad National Exam

From January until spring break, Northern Oklahoma ACS member Dr. Keith Lawson trained a core group of about 20 Honors Chemistry I and Chemistry II AP students to take the Chemistry Olympiad Exam. The local exam, administered shortly after spring break, consisted of 60 multiple choice questions. Congratulations to juniors Palak Sharma and Russell Drummond, and sophomore Marisol Aranda for taking second place in the local exam. Congratulations to junior Henry Williams and sophomore Kayla Hoelscher for their top scores, which qualified them to take the National Exam. The National Exam consisted of 60 multiple choice questions plus two laboratory experiments.
