STEM Initiatives at the University of Tulsa

Northern Oklahoma ACS proudly announces this joint event between the local ACS and AIChE sections. Dr. Jim Sorem is invited to the Phillips 66 Research Center to discuss STEM at The University of Tulsa (TU). Dr. Sorem has a PhD in mechanical engineering and was a Design Engineer/MAPICS Implementation Manager at GASO Pumps in Tulsa. He currently serves as the Dean of the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences at TU.

Following the talk there will be a pizza lunch provided with an opportunity to network with other members from ACS and AIChE. The details for the event are as follows:

Date: Thursday, July 27

Time: Seminar at 11 AM, Lunch/Networking at 12 PM

Location: Phillips 66 Research Center, Research Forum building, Lecture Hall

Cost: Free

For Non-PRC members of ACS and AIChE: Use the free visitor parking near the main entrance of Phillips 66 Research Center. The visitor parking is north of the Research Forum building, adjacent to US 60. After parking, the receptionist at the main entrance will let you in after buzzing the intercom and there will be signs to the Lecture Hall. (If you plan to attend, RSVP to the invitation and bring a form of identification the day of the event.)
