2014 Technicians of the Year

The Technician of the Year Award is an annual recognition of 3 chemical technicians within the Northern Oklahoma Local Section, with one technician being recognized as overall winner.  The candidates are judged on the same criteria as the ACS National Technician of the Year Award:

  • Technical achievements
  • Leadership and mentoring
  • Communications and publications
  • Safety
  • Quality
  • Other initiatives
  • Awards
  • Professional and community activities

The 2014 recipients of the Technician of the Year Award are: 

  1. Mike Terry (Overall), Operator, Chevron Phillips Chemical
  2. Laura Young, Senior Technician, Phillips 66
  3. Shane Bowman, Lab Technician, Chevron Phillips Chemical
Congratulations to Mike, Laura, and Shane on winning the award.
